Student exchanges
Perugia’s SSML believes that international exchanges are an integral part of its innovation and internationalisation strategy. International exchanges and mobility programmes in particular are valuable opportunities for the development of academic knowledge and personal growth of students, academic and administrative staff.
The EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport
Within the framework of the programme, Key Action 1 – Learning Mobility of Individuals – encourages mobility of students and recent graduates, teaching and administrative staff of higher education institutions to undertake a learning and/or work experience in another country.
Many students and teachers from our school have already benefited from Erasmus+ grants by attending a semester or year abroad (languages: English, French, Russian, Portuguese, German and Spanish). In recent years, most of the exchange programmes have been with universities which are renowned for the quality of their degree courses in translation and interpreting, specifically with the Universität Innsbruck (Austria), the Université Catholique de Lyon (France), the Universidad de Valladolid (Spain), the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (Spain). Most recently, we have also begun an exchange programme with Isit in Paris, a leader in the training of professionals in interlingual communication, and which offers study opportunities not only in French, but also in many other languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese and Arabic).
New exchange programme agreements are being finalised.
